Refunds & Cancellations
Thank you for choosing to book with The Coach House, we look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations made 6 weeks or more before date of arrival, a refund less the deposit will be made. For cancellations made less than 6 weeks before date of arrival, no refund will be made. If for whatever reason you cannot take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. If we do succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid it, less £20 administration fee. Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. For this reason we strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Please note if the no-smoking law is not adhered to a cost of £100 will be implemented for a deep clean for the comfort of our future guests.
Please note the maximum the Coach House can sleep is 8 persons, whether it be adults, children or babies. This is due to space issues and insurance purposes. Please inform us at time of booking if you are planning on having any visitors in the day. Please do not ask for more persons to be included on an overnight basis as refusal can often offend.
Extra daytime visitors are only permitted by prior arrangement and is at the discretion of the owner.
Please note, pets are not accepted either in the property or in a vehicle parked at the property overnight. This is disruptive to guests and can be distressing for animals.
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please try not to arrive earlier –we will still be busy preparing your accommodation, and won’t be available to welcome you.
It is a condition of your booking to leave the Coach House clean and tidy as we hope you will find it. Failure to comply will incur extra costs. Waterproof sheets are available on request.
If for any reason the number of people in your party changes, we must be informed prior to your visit. Additional costs may be incurred.
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Please try to leave the accommodation as clean as possible.
Please take care with our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we will send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we will make an additional charge of £50 if you did not report this.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer.
For all bookings we require a deposit of 25% to confirm the booking. We will charge this to your debit or credit card – please note there is a 2% surcharge for all credit card payments. We will send you an email or letter confirming the booking and letting you know what the outstanding balance is. The balance must then be paid at least 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. For holidays which are to take place within 6 weeks of making the booking, the full balance is due at time of booking.
